From our well named Montplaisir, there is only one millésime left.
Grape varieties: 50% Merlot, 40% Carignan, 10% Mourvèdre
Surface: 2 ha
Yield: 35 hl/ha
Harvest: Manually in picking crates
Vinification: The Merlot and Mourvèdre grapes are de-stemmed and fermentation temperature kept to between 18° and 20°C. The cap is punched-down daily, with a short maceration for the Merlot. The Carignan grapes are filled with the stems and undergo carbonic maceration.
No added sulfites.
Tasting: The blend of the three varieties gives this wine its sparkling red robe and harmonious raspberry and bilberry aromas. The black berry forepalate retains its smoothness and freshness thanks to delicate notes of clove and a hint of star anise. The name of this pleasing wine reflects its nature as “one of life’s little pleasures”.
Serving temperature: 16 – 18 °C
Ideal partner for: White and red meat, risotto, pasta, cream cheese.
Cellaring tips: Avoid temperature fluctuations, upright storage and direct light.
